Review: Lego Ninjago

Review: Lego Ninjago Lego Ninjago was the first Lego movie for me. I wasn’t really sure what to expect as I knew it was a kids movie. With that said, I kept an open mind and was looking forward to the movie as I knew Dave Franco was one of the voice actors. The opening scene was set in real life in an old Asian inspired shop, which shocked me because I thought it would all be animated/CGI since it...

HarmonQuest Season 2 Is Now Available on VRV!

HarmonQuest Season 2 Is Now Available on VRV! I absolutely love Dungeons and Dragons and am grateful for so many different content creators that now showcase their campaigns for the enjoyment of others. With services such as Roll20, you can play D&D with your friends and don’t even have to be in the same room! Of all this content, I have to admit that HarmonQuest is without a doubt my fa...

Review: Nan Desu Kan 2017

Review: Nan Desu Kan 2017 Hey you guys! Yep! I’m here again with another con review! After returning from Comic Con Palm Springs, I was immediately thrown back into travel for the next weekend to an anime convention in Denver called Nan Desu Kan, also known by locals as NDK. NDK was actually very similar to other anime cons I have attended, though the set-up was a little different. Much like...

Review: mother!

Review: mother! I walked into mother! knowing absolutely nothing about the film or the director, Darren Aronofsky. All I knew about the film was that it involved Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem as lovers and there were issues. Little did I know that I would watch one of the most stressful films I had ever seen in my life and somehow come out of it loving every minute of it. Why was it so stres...

How To Become A Better World of Warcraft Raider

How To Become A Better World of Warcraft Raider After grinding for hours to hit max level you have seen a number of messages in trade chat, have been whispered by random strangers, or had friends who have asked you to raid with them, and you agreed. You put on your best gear and gather with a dozen other players to enter the gates of the latest raid, and for hours you throw yourself against boss a...

Cosplayer of the Week: Khainsaw

Cosplayer of the Week: Khainsaw Khainsaw has always been one of my favorite cosplayers in the community for a number of reasons. I could tell that even without talking to her that she was smart, talented, and driven. I had always wanted to talk with her about her success in the past but never had the courage because, well, girls are scary. Even more so when it comes to Khainsaw because she looks a...

Review: Crown Heights

Crown Heights There have been quite a few horror films that have been released this year from musical boxes that grants deadly wishes to remakes of a famous killer clown but Crown Heights has to be one of the more terrifying films to be released and yet it isn’t even classified as horror. Crown Heights is about a young man by the name  Colin Warner who ends up getting falsely convicted for a murde...

Holy Sheet, IT Was Horrifyingly Good!

Holy Sheet, IT Was Horrifyingly Good! I want to start off by reminding you that I am not a fan of horror films. Give me an H.P. Lovecraft novel and I’ll read it and re read it a billion times but I just die when it comes to watching scary things come alive on screen. I have never seen any of the classics and especially not the original IT film. I had heard it was fantastic and the book was e...

Man or Machine? How Technology is Shaping Cosplay

Man or Machine? How Technology is Shaping Cosplay Cosplay is all about being yourself. You can be whoever (or whatever) you want to be. And when a cosplayer chooses a particular costume, tapping into a specific character — or combination of characters — it’s because of a connection to their background or philosophy. In fact, studies have shown that cosplayers are generally introverts and blossom a...
