However, with so many players flocking to try out this new legend, it is causing teams to suffer from blatant ignorance of her skill sets. Drill Cover
Mad Maggie’s tactical is a drill that is capable of penetrating any cover and inflicting a cone of damage to anyone behind it. This ability can be used on doors, buildings, crates, Rampart shields, and even Gibraltar’s dome shield. Because this is such a great counter, you’ll want to save the ability for when enemies freshly seek cover to heal.
Some players get excited and will waste their drill immediately but what happens is that any decent player will merely shift out of the way with only taking a slight bit of damage. If you wait until an enemy gets their shields broken, their first instinct will be to stop fighting and go heal. It is at that moment where you’ll want to unleash the drill to further punish the enemy potentially resulting in a knockdown or at the very least it will prevent them from healing in order to run away which helps keep a player out of the conflict so that your team can have the upper hand.
Don’t Just Use Your Ultimate for Offense
Mad Maggie’s ultimate features a high-speed wreaking ball that bounces for a distant range, knocking anything in its path back and dealing a small amount of damage. As a gut reaction, many players will want to use this in order to simply see enemies get tossed every which way and then use the speed boost provided by the ultimate’s path to engage with enemies.
This method is totally fine and is effective but, I have seen beautiful plays where Mad Maggie’s unleash their ultimate away from enemies in order to take advantage of the speed boost so that the team can get out quick or escape the ring. that way her ultimate is no longer just for firefights but can be used in any situation where speed is crucial.
Shotguns are Clutch
Mad Maggie’s passive deals in shotguns, allowing her to maintain her run speed despite holding a weapon. Normally, any other legend would be slowed down by carrying a weapon, so this passive helps tremendously. Mad Maggie is capable of being ready to fight immediately making her dangerously in a chase, especially if she is benefitting from her ultimate’s speed boost.
Training with shotguns will help to make you extremely effective in combat by relentlessly pushing your way through enemy lines. Then if you find that another weapon would work better, you can always swap and unleash hell!
