The Geek Lyfe Is Raising Money For Charity

Hey friends! We hope you are doing well! We have proudly participated in Extra Life for three years and we plan on participating again this year! If you are unfamiliar with Extra Life, “Extra Life unites thousands of players around the world in a 24 hour gaming marathon to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $22 million for local CMN Hospitals.” (via) We have raised thousands of dollars over the last two years and hope to raise the bar this year!

A lot of times we take for granted just how lucky we are to be blessed with a life unburdened by major illnesses and can forget that this isn’t the case for all people. Some have suffered since their earliest memories and will continue to suffer until our best and brightest can find a solution. Although we, as individuals, can do so little to help them directly, we can offer up what money we can so that those medical facilities who do know how to help can help by purchasing equipment, staff, and funding research. We firmly believe in this cause and strive every year to raise as much money as possible to give back to our community!

Every year of team grows bigger and better, this year is no different as we have wonderful folks such as Brostalgia, Bytes N Brews, Freeplay Frenchie, Darth Mexican, Raging Ameh, Hesch, Photo Arcade and more! We hope to bring you all entertaining content during the stream so you are rewarded for helping a good cause! Of course if you can not afford to donate, we completely understand! Even just sharing our cause would help tremendously!

Extra Life takes place on November 5th, 2016!

We hope you’ll join us and we also hope you’ll enjoy our bloopers!

Darth Mexican
Darth Mexican has been a geek since he first saw a lightsaber ignite. He has strong feelings on subbed anime. He strives to represent the stories of the common man and woman regardless of skin tone, age, sexual preference, or nationality. With every article he strives to bring representation to the voiceless. Unless he finds out they like dubbed anime.
