Homies Helping Homies: A new TTRPG Series to Financially Support Indie performers!
Geeks far and wide love watching their favorite Table Top Role Playing Games be live-streamed on Twitch. A Game master along with various players tries their absolute hardest to put on a great show for viewers. Although fun times are had and fans grow for the performers, rarely does anyone get paid. Often times TTRPG networks have to use funds gathered via bits/subs to pour into equipment, marketing, and services to assist them in enhancing the look for their shows.
While this is understandable and most indie TTRPG performers go unpaid for a majority of their work, I want to change that. So I have decided to put together a monthly show that will feature myself and four guests to perform a one-shot adventure playing different RPGs. During the show, the viewers have the unique opportunity to influence the game in major and minor ways.
As an example, I could have written an incredible High-Fantasy adventure that involves elves, dwarves, and other iconic races but the moment a viewer drops $50 to change the theme I will swap the whole game to center around the chosen option. If folks want to raise the stakes for the players, they can choose to ‘Add Drama’ which will force my hand to throw a wrench in the plans of the cast so they have to struggle even more!
At the end of the night, I take the tips and split them up 5 ways so that every cast member gets a cut! My humble event rewards the performers for their hard work!
