When it comes to anime, many of us think solely of Japanese animation, and for good reason, seeing as how it was started in Japan and naturally features their culture. Still, especially as a minority, there is such a disconnect because a majority of characters that come across the screen are Japanese. While many of us accept this as a fact of life and continue to consume the content from the industry we know and love, there are those who refuse to just to sit back and accept the world as it is.
Enter Noir Caesar! They are a brand founded by huge fans of anime who happen to be black. When they saw that their own culture was not being represented, they decided to make their own content, and change that fact. We got the chance to chat with them at Anime Expo and loved everything they had to say!
