The Geek Lyfe is Thankful – 2018 Edition!
It’s the oddest of experiences to feel both that this year has flown by, yet also felt as though it would never pass. As a brand, we had our share of fantastic moments and just as many difficult ones as well. Despite it all, we now stand tall with settled dust as we plan for great times and even bigger projects for 2019!
Before we make plans, budget, market, network and more I wanted to take the briefest of moments to reflect on this year and have myself and the staff offer their thanks!

I am thankful for my staff who have my back and double down on all of my crazy plans. I have been running The Geek Lyfe since 2012 and each year we grow bigger and better. It is now to the point where we are no longer being read by our close friends and family, but by the actual, general public!
I am grateful for every single person who takes the time to consume our content in whatever way. Back in the day, I did not have an editor and knew little about writing professionally. So, a lot of the content I produced was horrible enough to cause eyes to bleed! And yet folks still came, and they still read, and they still gave praise.
Nothing warms the soul more than knowing that at least one person appreciates your hard work and dedication. I can hardly wait for all of the adventures 2019 will bring. And while I have no idea exactly how they’ll all turn out, I can promise to do right by each and every person we get to interact with!
I’m thankful for good friends and great games to play with them. I’m thankful for my Bytes N’ Brews co-host, Rob, and the rest of the Almost Heroic crew: Pat, Allan, and Whitney. I’m also thankful to be a part of the Geek Lyfe brand and all the experiences it has provided.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to work beside some of the most motivated and influential people I’ve ever known, and for the the privilege of being able to pursue my dreams and live an artistic life. This world is a big, beautiful place, full of people I love and treasure every single day! Oh, and my dog. I’ll never take that little gremlin for granted.
I’m thankful for puns, cooking, crochet, awesome chats, secret santa, and goofy best friends
I wouldn’t be committing technical sacrilege by doing this would I? There’s always a thing that goes around saying that if a British family have a roast on American thanksgiving that they’re committing treason. Not sure if it’s true…
I love committing treason because despite Trump and some of the outrageous laws, I love America!!
I am thankful for every friend I have in my life who had stuck by my through thick and thin, and I am so so thankful to cosplay and the community for allowing me to become and accept the person I am today

I’m thankful for the Geek Lyfe and the opportunities and life changing experiences they have given me to report on! Thank you!
I’m thankful for the people I’ve chosen to surround myself with. My several best friends, the people that put up with my sass on a daily basis, my loving girlfriend Kristen (she puts up with all my passion projects sucking up most of my free time), and my secret lover, Tony. They are my real family, and I couldn’t be more happy to have them as a part of the rest of my life.
