Nerd News with Bytes N’ Brews: Creative Writer Leaves Cyberpunk 2077, Resident Evil Netflix Series, Jay & Silent Bob Reboot

See? We promised you we weren’t looking for themes every week. This week in Nerd News we dive into some depressing Cyberpunk 2077 news, Netflix bringing a series back to life, and Bluntman & Chronic ride again! First up:

Creative Director for Cyberpunk 2077 Jumps Ship to Blizzard

Sebastian Stępień was the creative director for CD Projekt Red’s next flagship game, Cyberpunk 2077. Stępień’s not just another employee either. He’s been with the company for 12 years, and held many titles through The Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077 series, including Story Designer, Head Writer, and Creative Director. Apparently, he’s thinking the grass is greener on the other side, and he’s now working with Blizzard on an unnamed project.

Resident Evil Netflix Series

Constantin Film, the company behind the Resident Evil movies, is now bringing the franchise to Netflix as a scripted series. This is literally all the information we have at this time. We can only hope they don’t mess up the Netflix series anywhere near as bad as the movie series. Go back to your roots in survival horror; remember who you are.

Jay & Silent Bob Reboot

In Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, our heroes find out that Hollywood is making a reboot of the old movie based on them. So, they journey to Hollywood to stop it again. What did you expect?
